End of term food fun

Today we made pizzas to eat. The students were very well organised and brought their toppings then used the school pizza ovens to cook their pizzas.



Una and Nathaniel had the responsibility of cooking the sausages for the school this week. Looks like fun. Thanks Viv for allowing R4 students to help cook the sausages each week.

Scratch games

Today a number of classes from the middle and junior school came to Room 4 to play our Scratch Cycles games. It was very busy and great fun. The junior students gave us some great feedback to improve our games.

Reminder:
Forms for parent input into 2018 class placements were issued the week before last to each student. Parents  - please note these forms need to be returned by Friday 29 September if you wish us to consider your input. The forms need to be returned to the big blue postal box in the student foyer.

Body systems

We have been inquiring into cycles within body systems. Avaani and Alex made the play dough for us to use and after some research we made models of our systems.

Today we used our excess milk to make smoothies.

Te wiki o Te Reo Maori

Today the senior classes started some lessons about Te Reo Maori. In Room 4 the students had a go at using rakau.

Peer editing

We have been learning to show rather than simply tell when writing. Today we practiced giving specific feedback to each other while peer editing.




The feedback is specific so it tells the other student exactly what was good or what needs to be worked on.

Spelling Bee

Today we held a Senior School Spelling Bee. It was lots of fun and the students proved to be amazing spellers.
Congratulations to all the students who took part. The top 5 spellers will be representing our school at the Inter school spelling Bee next week.

Go4It




Yesterday we did go4it first we played Pacman in real life. Then we played Snakes, after we did that we went outside and played some badminton golf. We can't use our hands we can only use our raquet and shuttle.You have to hit the shuttle into the golf hole.
